Christopher “Spike” Eickholt has been an attorney practicing primarily criminal defense for nearly 20 years.  He is an experienced litigator and has had over 70 felony jury trials, multiple misdemeanor jury and bench trials, innumerable contested hearings, and other evidentiary proceeding.  He has represented people charged with all sorts of crimes, ranging from Minor in Possession of Alcohol to Murder.  Spike will fight for your rights. Spike has argued dozens of cases before the Nebraska Supreme Court and Court of Appeals. Spike has provided and presented at educational seminars and presentations on various matters relating to criminal defense, lawyer ethics, and litigation topics.

Spike has appeared before the Legislature and testified hundreds of bills in various committees. Spike has also appeared before the Lincoln City Council on numerous occasions.

For four years Spike served as Committee Counsel to the Judiciary Committee of the Nebraska Legislature under its then-chair Senator Kermit Brashear.

Spike has worked with various government agencies and is knowledgeable with various components of Nebraska statutory and administrative law. 

Spike is currently a Registered Lobbyist for ACLU of Nebraska and Nebraska Criminal Defense Attorneys Association.
